Fire is a common and dangerous emergency, but many fires are preventable through awareness and simple precautions. Understanding fire risks, classified from low to high, is crucial for protecting lives and property. The mission is to minimize fire risks effectively.
Experiences
Having worked for the Metropole Fire and Rescue Service for a number of years, I have personally seen the catastrophic effects of fire. I learned a lot about the causes of fires and how to prevent them thanks to this experience.
Tragic losses of life and property occurred in many of the incidents I attended; these losses were, for the most part, avoidable. The majority of fires stemmed from human error, whether caused by electrical faults, cooking-related incidents, gas leaks, or similar factors. In most cases, these could be traced back to poor installation practices, inadequate maintenance, or a lack of awareness.
